"If you don't understand the Internet, you don't have any place in government," he told an audience at the annual South by Southwest conference in Austin.
Given the impact of the Internet on daily life, Kovacs said, he is amazed when members of Congress express a desire to hire staffers who "understand" the Internet. "It's not something you learn, or hire someone for. It has to be the way you live your life," he said.

We wouldn't accept farmers legislating how medical instruments are made, so why do stoopid Congress-Pimples tell high-tech companies what they can and cannot do on the Internet? Why do people accept that, just because a guy got himself elected, that his ideas on stuff he knows nothing about are GOOD IDEAS???
What's really scary is that soooo much goverment business is conducted on the Internet ... and is REQUIRED to be conducted on the Internet ... yet Congress-Pimples and Senate-Whores can't seem to get their heads around the stuff. Why is it that six-year-olds understand the Internet better than our elected officials? What does that say about our elected officials?
